With budget cuts looming, you need to triage your grant applications. We’l triage on the basis of ‘nearest end date first’. We’re betting that the Capital Grant will be closed at some point this year, perhaps as soon as this spring. The program started over two years ago and enough applications are being received that 10- to 12-month wait times for a decision are common.
Last year the NJEDA said they had enough money to make their grants non-competitive, meaning everyone who applied with the correct application was guaranteed approval. But now budget cuts are fast approaching, and reportedly everything is on the potential chopping block.
